SRINAGAR: As the eight football clubs competing in the 1st Edition JKFA Professional League 2021 take a breather till 24th July, here is how the teams stand in the points table after 14 matches.
J&K Bank XI take the top spot with 9 points from 3 games, scoring 10 goals and conceding just 1 in the process. Downtown Heroes FC take the 2nd place with 9 points from their 3 matches, scoring 5 and conceding none. In 3rd place, Hyderya Sports FC has also racked up 9 points from 4 matches, scoring 7 and conceding 6.
Lonestar Kashmir FC take the 4th position with 7 points from their 4 matches. Scoring 4 and conceding 3 in the process. Real Kashmir (R) are in the 5th position with 5 points from 4 games, while Shaheen FC Jammu are in the 6th spot with 5 points from their 4 games. Kashmir Avengers FC are in the 7th position with 0 points from their 3 matches. The SCFA XI is in the last spot with 0 points from their 3 matches.
Another round of 14 matches are set to be played at the Synthetic Turf TRC in Srinagar from July 14 till July 31 and the League table is sure to see some ups and downs.
Top two teams of the Professional League 2021 will get nominated to play in the 2021-22 season of the I-League Second Division. However, the likes of J&K Bank XI, Real Kashmir (R) and SCFA XI won’t be considered for the I-League because of the clubs being departmental team, reserves team and academy team respectively.
