Srinagar: As many as 277 people infected by coronavirus recovered from various healthcare facilities in Jammu and Kashmir, while one person succumbed to the virus and 179 others tested positive across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, 277 more coronavirus patients have recovered—113 from Jammu division and 164 from Kashmir Valley during the last 24 hours, as compared to 179 new cases detected across the Union Territory during the same time.
Of the new cases, officials said, the Valley reported 117, while 62 were detected from the Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in the Union Territory to 319755.
Giving district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 59, Baramulla 6, Budgam 12, Pulwama 13, Kupwara 8, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 5, Kulgam 7, Jammu 13, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 10, Doda 15, Kathua 7, Kishtwar 9, Poonch 6, Ramban 6 and Reasi 1 new case of coronavirus. Shopian and Samba districts in the Union Territory reported no new cases of Covid-19.
Also, officials said, one more person succumbed to the deadly infection in the winter capital, raising the overall fatality count to 4363 in the UT.
There was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today and thus the cumulative number of confirmed cases increases to 33 in J&K, the officials added.
