SRINAGAR: The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR’s), Cultural Unit Kashmir Friday organised a variety of cultural programme at Kashmir Haat (Exhibition ground Srinagar ) on the seventh day of the ongoing Craft Mela-2021 here.
The 15-day craft fair is organised by the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, while daily cultural programs at the fair are being organised in collaboration with the Cultural Unit of DIPR.
The aim of the event is to increase the number of people visiting Kashmir Haat and promote local products.
To make the exhibition multi-faceted and colourful during the ongoing handicraft festival, artists from Cultural Unit Kashmir presented colourful programs and attracted a large crowd of spectators. In addition, young artists from the valley also performed various musical programs.
The audience were seen enjoying the melodious and mesmerising folk songs and light music at the event.
Cultural Officer Kashmir, Tawheed Ahmad Mir said that the Unit is soon going to provide virtual platform to the youth to showcase their hidden talent through a Talent Hunt programme.
