SRINAGAR- The Legal Metrology Department today organised awareness camps across Kashmir division to educate the valley based bakers of various provisions of Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011.
The main function was held at Legal Metrology Complex Bemina, Srinagar where Controller, Legal Metrology UT of J&K, Majid K. A. Drabu, held a brief discussion with members of Bakers Association Kashmir.
The chair stressed the Bakers to keep their premises neat and clean and ensure availability of bakery items in hygienic condition. He also instructed them to go for proper packaging as per Legal Metrology Laws and stressed them to abide by rules and regulations.
A detailed lecture on Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules-2011 was delivered by the Deputy Controller (Consumer Protection) followed by an interactive session in which various doubts/queries raised by the association were cleared.
Similar programs were held at all the district headquarters of organization across the valley to ensure availability of bakery items as per the norms of Legal Metrology Laws.
