Srinagar: No coronavirus related death was reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, even as 448 more people recovered from the deadly infection compared to 228 new cases of virus detected across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
For the first time in almost 16 weeks, no death caused by coronavirus was reported across J&K on Monday, officials said, adding that 155 new cases, the lowest in nearly four months were detected.
They said 113 fresh cases of virus were reported from Kashmir Valley while the remaining 42 were detected across the Jammu division thus taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in J&K to 318848.
Giving district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 33, Baramulla 7, Budgam 10, Pulwama 7, Kupwara 12, Anantnag 11, Bandipora 8, Ganderbal 9, Kulgam 14, Shopian 2, Jammu 12, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 2, Doda 11, Samba 2, Kishtwar 2, Poonch 4, Ramban 2 and Reasi 6 new cases of coronavirus. No Case of Covid-19 was reported from Kathua district in Jammu division.
Moreover, they said, 448 more patients have recovered—228 from Jammu Division and 220 from Kashmir Valley.
Also, officials there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today and thus the cumulative number of confirmed cases remained 31 in J&K. (With GNS inputs)
