Srinagar: The counter intelligence (CI) wing of Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday conducted a raid in Old City’s Nawa Kadal area and seized business related documents.
The raid was conducted at Kakar Masjid Nawakadal area of Srinagar in the house of a local who reportedly deals in handicraft business, a local news agency KNT reported Wednesday. Quoting unnamed sources, the report said that the raid was conducted in connected with militant funding.
The sources further said that in this regard an FIR vide number 06/2021 under section 13, 17,20,38,39 ,40 UA(P) Act read with section 13 prevention of corruption Act and 120-B ,121,121-A, of IPC stands registered.
“The sleuths of CIK assisted by police and others seized multiple bank passbooks and check books of the accused. Besides, some cards and photostat copies related to business dealings were also seized,” the report added.
