Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a new era of development and prosperity as the Union Territory government is taking several reformative measures for socio-economic development and empowerment of the people, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha said Tuesday.
The LG made these remarks during his interaction with B.L Verma, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from Uttar Pradesh at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday, an official spokesperson said.
Verma, he said, shared with the LG his views about the present development scenario of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and also discussed wide ranging issues of public importance.
He further said that the LG observed that Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a new era of development and prosperity.
“The UT Government is taking several reformative measures for socio-economic development and empowerment of the people of J&K,” Sinha said, as per official spokesperson.
