Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Tuesday 715 fresh cases of novel coronavirus while 10 more people succumbed to the virus across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
While 497 cases were confirmed from Kashmir Valley, the remaining 218 were detected from various parts of Jammu division thus taking the total number of people infected by the virus since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 308726, officials said Tuesday.
Giving district wise details, officials said that Srinagar reported 132, Baramulla 55, Budgam 63, Pulwama 58, Kupwara 65, Anantnag 36, Bandipora 27, Ganderbal 25, Kulgam 31, Shopian 5, Jammu 22, Udhampur 13, Rajouri 49, Doda 31, Kathua 15, Samba 5, Kishtwar 19, Poonch 34, Ramban 16 and Reasi 14 new cases of Covid-19
Moreover, they said, 1830 more patients have recovered—642 from Jammu Division and 1188 from Kashmir.
Giving details of the coronavirus related fatalities, officials said that six among the victims were residents of Jammu division and four from different parts of the Valley. With these deaths, the overall fatality count reached 4205 in the Union Territory.
Also, officials said, one more confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) has been reported today, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 21.
