Srinagar: Militants on Friday attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, an official spokesperson said.
“A vehicle of 29Bn was fired upon near Kralpora village. There’s not been any damage or injury to anyone,” CRPF spokesperson Abhiram told Kashmir Observer.
The paramilitary men, he said, also retaliated to the fire.
He further said that the area was placed under cordon by his men and Jammu and Kashmir police personnel to nab the attackers.
However, a local news agency reported that the CRPF men fired shots in air after some youth pelted stones at their convoy.
