Srinagar: At least three youth have been booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in south Kashmir’s Shopian district in connection with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast earlier this month.
Shoib Shafi Bhat, Muntazir Farooq Lone and Tauqeer Ashraf Lone have been booked by police for their alleged involvement in an IED attack on May 16 when an army patrolling party from 44 Rashtriya Rifles were moving towards Trukwangam village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district, news agency KNT reported Saturday.
All these three youth are the residents of Turkwangam village.
A formal case vide FIR number 46/2021 under section 13,16,18 Unlawful Activities (P) Act, 3/4 Explosives Act has been registered against them at Police Station Zainpora, the report added.
