Srinagar: A man was killed and another injured on Saturday in an incident of electrocution in Budgam district of central Kashmir.
Farooq Ahmed of Zanigam and Ghulam Mohammad Najar of Katiruna were critically injured after receiving electric shock at a joinery mill in Sonpah village of the district on Saturday morning, reports said. The injured duo, reports said, were removed by the villagers to the Sub-District Hospital Beerwah for treatment. However, the doctors there declared Ahmed brought dead.
The condition of Najar, who is being treated at the hospital, is said to be life threatening.
Chief Medical Officer confirmed the death of Farooq Ahmed saying another man is undergoing treatment.
