Srinagar- The students from Kashmir University’s, Institute of Technology, have demanded an online examination for their ongoing semester.
The students, mainly from the 7th semester, alleged that the University authority was forcing them to attend the examinations in an offline mode, which could lead to a disaster as the Covid-19 second wave has already started to spread rapidly in Kashmir.
The students have also alleged that the University officials had initially informed them that except the final term examinations, all other exams would be conducted in an online manner.
“Without keeping in view the ongoing deadly situation, the University management is still forcing us to sit physically for these exams.” said a student on the basis of anonymity.
Meanwhile, the University officials have denied such allegations. “Nothing has been finalised yet, we are still in the process of finalising the mode of examination.” said a university official on the basis of anonymity.
