‘Duo Was Involved In Killing Of Territorial Army Soldier Two Days Ago’
Srinagar- Two militants, involved in killing of territorial army soldier two days ago, were killed in an overnight encounter in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday, police said.
State forces launched a cordon and search operation in Semthan area of Bijbehara on Saturday after receiving specific information about the presence of militants in the area, a police official said.
He said the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants opened fire at a search party of the forces, who retaliated.
Two militants were killed, the official said, adding that the slain militants were involved in the killing of the territorial army soldier tow days ago.
