Srinagar: Authorities on Friday announced two-way traffic on Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir Valley with the outside world, tomorrow.
“Subject to fair weather and better road condition, LMVs (Passenger) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar highway viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa ,” a traffic department official said in a communiqué. “However, TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic.”
The HMVs shall be allowed from Zig (Qazigund) towards Jammu from 1500 hours, the official said.
Meanwhile, Mughal road, connecting Shopian district with Poonch, remained blocked due to snow accumulation, the official added.
