Srinagar: At least nine youth from south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday were detained by police from Sheeri area of Baramulla district.
A local news agency KDC quoted Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Rayees Ahmad as saying that the nine boys from Zainapora area of Shopian were detained by police after noticing them in suspicious condition.
He said that all the nine have been detained from Sheeri area of Baramulla, adding that after proper verification and antecedents check all the detained boys will be handled as per law.
