Srinagar- Seven militant associates of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen have been arrested in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, police said on Saturday.
A police officer said that during naka search seven militant associates were arrested with arms and ammunition.
A case Fir no 40/2021 U/S 7/25 Arms Act 18,20,13,33,38 ULAP act has been registered against the arrested persons in police station Shopian.
They have been identified as Samiullah Chopan son of Farooq Ahmad Chopan resident of Meemender, Hilal Ahmad Wani son of Mohd Amin Wani resident of Dachipora, Ramaiz Ahmad Wani son of Muzaffar Ahmad Wani resident of Dachipora, Rouf Ahmad Wani son of Ab. Rashid Wani resident of Dachipora, Zahid Ahmad Wani son of Bashir Ahmad Wani resident of Dachipora, Faizan Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Yousuf Khan resident of Vehil, Shahid Ahmad Rather son of Mohammad Iqbal Rather resident of Vehil.
The officer further said that two hand grenades and 105 live ammunitions were recovered from their possession.
