Srinagar: Two more people died of coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday even as 77 fresh cases of Covid-19 were detected across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
The two victims were residents of Jammu division and Kashmir Valley, officials said Tuesday. Their deaths took the total fatalities count to 1965—729 in Jammu and 1236 in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, among the 77 fresh cases, officials said sixty were reported from Kashmir and the remaining 18 from Jammu division thus taking the total number of people infected by the virus to 127191, they said.
Giving district wise details, the officials said, Srinagar reported 36, Baramulla 10, Budgam 9, Pulwama 1, Anantnag 4, Jammu 13, Rajouri 1 and Kathua 2new cases of Covid-19.
Moreover, they said, 87 more patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—18 from Jammu Division and 69 from Kashmir Valley.
