Srinagar- A portion of a road in Dalgate area on the banks of Dal Lake caved in on Wednesday, affecting the traffic in the area.
The portion of the road caved in about a few feet deep following which the stretch was closed for traffic
Sources said during the incident, a couple of two-wheelers were parked there. As the road caved in, the two-wheelers also fell into the lake. They added that a bike and a Scooty were retrieved from the lake while no loss of life has been reported, accordimjg to news agency KNT.
An official said that traffic has been diverted to other connecting roads.
