SRINAGAR: All Jammu Kashmir Mountaineering Foundation on Sunday organized a trek to Burzamal Top via Aru in which around 40 trekkers, hailing from different parts of the Valley participated.
The Foundation organised the trek in association with Crampons Adventures.
“The participants left Srinagar early morning and arrived in Aru at 9:30 am. We hiked 13.5 kms approximately to and fro and gained a maximum altitude of 3400 meters. It was a beautiful and thrilling day with such a large number of participation,” the Foundation said.
“Burzamaal (3400 meters) is an immense feature overlooking the whole Lidder valley. A hike of 1000-meters from Aru was accomplished in four hours. As participants arrived at Burzamaal they were delighted to witness a 360 degree panorama of peaks, featuring Tson Peak,Tullian Peak, Dudal Prominence and Purmandal group of peaks in clear weather. Further towards Kolahoi the upper Lidder valley and the striking snow clad features looked impressive against a clear blue sky.”
The Team was lead by Abid Kharadi, Yaqoob Mir from front side and Numan and Amir Lateef from back and fully supervised by Managing Director AJK Mountaineering Foundation, Danish Dhaar.
“We are thankful to the Crampon adventures, our executive body and all the participants for making this event a success,” the Foundation said.
