Srinagar– The students of Government polytechnic colleges Monday urged the authorities to conduct their examinations in online mode or give them mass promotion due to the prevailing situation.
The students said that due to lack of regular classes and high speed internet since last year, they haven’t been able to concentrate fully on their studies.
The students said that “in October last year, the authorities released a notification regarding the mass promotions wherein it was stated the students who had passed two or more subjects will be promoted to next semester.”
The students said that they are continuously protesting since last two demanding to conduct their examination in online mode or mass promote them.
“Where will we – as majority of students are from far flung areas- stay when most of polythenic colleges don’t have hostel facilities.
They said that it’s ironic that JKSBOTE is conducting backlog and regular exams in the midst of the pandemic
They urged higher authorities to conduct their examinations in online mode or mass promote them as they promoted others students
