Srinagar: The 270-km Srinagar-Jammu highway will remain open for vehicular movement on Sunday and Valley bound vehicles will be allowed to ply on the vital road link, officials said Saturday.
“Tomorrow (February 7), subject to fair weather and better road condition, only one way traffic shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar including Ramban-Banihal (local traffic) on Jammu-Srinagar highway. No vehicle including fresh perishables shall be allowed in the opposite direction,” A communiqué issued by Traffic Police Headquarters J&K on Saturday said.
It further added that the Mughal road, connecting south Kashmir’s Shopian and Poonch district in Jammu, also remains closed due to accumulation of snow.
Also, the official statement said that Srinagar-Leh highway has been officially closed on the orders by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on December 30.
