Srinagar: The 270-km long Srinagar-Jammu highway will remain closed for vehicular traffic on Friday for maintenance and repair work, officials said Thursday.
In a statement issued, traffic police said that on Friday no vehicular movement shall be allowed from either side on Jammu-Srinagar highway in view of maintenance/repairing of the road. The statement also urged people to undertake journeys on highways only after confirming the status of the road from Traffic control units.
The handout further said that the Mughal road continues to remain closed due to snow accumulation.
