Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Monday one more coronavirus death while 82 fresh cases of infection, including nine travelers were detected across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
A 70-year-old man from Rakh Barothlon area of Samba became one more victim of covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. So far 1922 people have succumbed to virus in J&K— 1206 in the Valley and 715 in Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 453 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (367), Baramulla (172), Budgam (115), Kupwara (94), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (84), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (54), Rajouri (55), Kathua (51), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar(22), and Reasi (15).
Meanwhile, nine travelers were among 82 fresh Covid-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 123425, officials said.
Among the fresh cases, officials said, 36 were reported from Jammu division and 46 from Kashmir Valley.
Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 13, Budgam 7, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 13, Kulgam 1, Shopian 2, Jammu 26, Udhampur 4, Kathua 1, Samba 2, Kishtwar 2 and Reasi 3 new cases of Covid-19.
Moreover, they said, 194 more patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 123 from Jammu Division and 71 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 1111 positive cases in J&K, they added. (With GNS inputs)
