Srinagar- Dr Abdul Majid Mir, a prominent businessman and Vice President, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCC&I) died in a road accident in New Delhi on late Tuesday evening.
Mir, 72, a resident of Rawalpora Srinagar was affiliated with textile business and owned a weaving factory at Industrial Estate Rangreth in Srinagar.
Meanwhile, KCC&I spokesperson issued a statement extending their most sincere condolences to family of Dr Mir on his demise .
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr Mir who died in a tragic accident in Delhi where he had gone few days ago. Dr Mir had always worked for the upliftment of business community and had great understanding of the economic scenario of Kashmir,” the spokesperson said.
“He always extended helping hand to our youth and guided them on economic front. He will be truly missed.”
