Srinagar – In the ongoing Real Kashmir Cup, Lonestar Kashmir FC and Kashmir Avengers FC registered wins in their respective matches on Saturday here at TRC Ground, Srinagar.
In the first match, Lonestar KFC defeated Punjab based TASM FC 3-2 in a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 score at the end of 90 minutes.
In the second match of the day, Kashmir Avengers FC defeated ARA FC. The game stayed goalless for the allotted 90 minutes and was decided via penalties where the Lonestar team emerged victorious with a 5-3 scoreline.
18 Premier division teams from Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh and other states of the country have been competing in the knockout tournament since December 27.
The Cup is organized by Real Kashmir FC in association with the JKFA (J&K Football Association), AIFF (All India Football Federation) and JKSC (JK Sports Council).
The Real Kashmir Cup is Jammu and Kashmir’s first-ever, national-level football competition with the organizers labeling the tournament as a show of unity, solidarity and peace.
