Srinagar: The Indian and Pakistani troops on Wednesday exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Karnah sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Pakistani troops restored to unprovoked ceasefire violation and targeted forward posts of the Indian army in Karnah sector on Wednesday evening, sources said.
They said that forward areas include Hajitara, Sadhpora, Tadd, and Dhani where army heavily retaliated to the ceasefire violation.
“People have been asked to move to safer places to ensure no human loss,” they said.
According to the local news agency KNO, there were no immediate reports about any loss to the property or life in the cross-LoC firing.
