Kupwara- A Border Security Forces soldier shot himself dead in north-Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday morning, officials said.
They said that the soldier identified as Head Constable Bharinder Singh of 118 Battallion shot himself with his service rifle, while on duty in Tanghdar area of the district, reported news agency GNS.
The cause of him taking this extreme step remains unknown for the time being, they said.
Meanwhile a police official while confirming the incident said that a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations taken up.
