Srinagar: Four youth from south Kashmir’s Shopian district have gone missing from New Delhi, days after two siblings from neighbouring Kulgam went missing under similar circumstances before the Delhi police traced them.
The missing youth have been identified as Yawar Ahmad Wani, Dawood Ahmad Thoker, both residents of Chakoora, Sayar Ahmad Shah and Arif Bilal Dar of Sharatpora in the south Kashmir district.
Thoker’s father Mohammed Yousuf said that since Tuesday afternoon, he has no whereabouts of his son, a truck driver and a fruit merchant Yawar Ahmad, as their phones went off suddenly.
He said that vehicle along with cleaner is lying at Azadpora Mandi, however, there are no traces of his son and the fruit grower
“We have filed missing reports in Shopian as well as in Delhi,” he said, while requesting authorities to help them in tracing the missing duo.
The families of Sayar and Arif have also lodged missing reports after duo went missing from Jamia Masjid area of New Delhi on Tuesday.
They also have requested authorities to act swiftly and help them in locating their loved ones at an earliest.
A Police official told news agency KNO that that they have taken cognizance of the issue and efforts were on to trace the missing persons.
The four youth went missing days after two siblings from Kulgam disappeared but were traced and later handed over to families.
