SRINAGAR- An officers’ meeting of Horticulture Department was held here today to discuss in detail the execution of various schemes offered by the department including Formalization of Micro Food Processing Units, One District One Product, Operation Green, Cold Storage, development of nurseries and formation of FPOs.
The officers were asked to work on the ground in mission mood in order to achieve the target of 1537 micro food processing units (MFPU) and also reach out to farmers, college pass out students and industrial associations for this purpose.
The meeting also discussed the guidelines for establishing a target of 1537 Micro Food processing units. The officers were asked to personally visit orchardists and educate them regarding innovative technologies introduced in the field of Horticulture.
