Srinagar: The district authorities in north Kashmir’s Bandipora have ordered a probe against a Medical Officer for remaining absent from duties in order to attend his private clinic.
The probe has been ordered by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir against Dr Inam, a Medical officer at District Hospital Bandipora for remaining absent from duties, news agency KNO reported. The ADC has constituted a 3 member team headed by additional district development commissioner Bandipora, Afsar Ali Khan to carry out the probe.
According to an order issued by Mir, the team shall also comprise Mehraj Wani, (KAS), Functional Manager DIC and block medical officer Bandipora, Dr Masarat Iqbal Wani.
The order states, “Complaint was received today on 06.11.2020 that Dr Inam, Medical officer DH Bandipora was absent from duties. It was also reported that he was working in a private clinic on 06.11.2020 and patients visiting District hospital were asked to attend a private clinic/Nursing home/Hospital.”
As per the order, the 3 member team has been asked to enquire into the conduct of medical officer and furnish enquiry report with recommendation for further necessary action.
When contacted, ADC Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir confirmed that an enquiry has been ordered and the team shall submit its report within a week
