Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir recorded eight more Covid-19 deaths in a day pushing the tally to 1,438 on Sunday, while 532 fresh cases during the same period took the tally to 9,1861, officials said.
Among the victims, the officials said five were from Kashmir Valley and three residents of Jammu.
With these deaths, 1438 people have succumbed to the virus in J&K and include 960 from Kashmir and 478 from Jammu division, the officials said.
Meanwhile, 532 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded in J&K in the past 24 hours – with 355 in the Kashmir valley and 177 in Jammu, they said.
Srinagar district reported the highest number of 124 fresh COVID-19 cases, followed by 113 in Jammu district, the officials said.
There are 7,565 active coronavirus cases, while 82,858 patients have recovered so far, they said.
