Srinagar: India and Pakistan troops Friday exchanged heavy gunfire along the Line of Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu region.
Army’s Jammu based PRO Devander Anand said that Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the LoC in Qasba and Kirni sectors of Poonch district around 6:00pm Friday.
“Pak initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing small arms and shelling mortars along Line of Control in Kirni, Qasba and Malti areas of Poonch,” he said.
He added that Indian Army is giving a befitting reply.
