Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir recorded seven more Covid-19 deaths in a day pushing the tally to 1,379 on Sunday, while 578 fresh cases during the same period took the tally to 8,7942, officials said.
Among the victims, the officials said, three were residents of Jammu and four from Kashmir Valley.
With these deaths, 1379 people have succumbed to the virus in J&K and include 922 from Kashmir and 457 from Jammu division, the officials said.
Meanwhile, 578 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded in J&K in the past 24 hours – with 385 in the Kashmir valley and 193 in Jammu, they said.
Srinagar district reported the highest number of 167 fresh COVID-19 cases, followed by 119 in Jammu district, the officials said.
There are 8,677 active coronavirus cases, while 77,886 patients have recovered so far, they said.
