Srinagar: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three gamblers in a raid in Parimpora area of the city outskirts.
Acting on an input, a police team carried out a raid at Khowjabagh Malura Bund and apprehended three gamblers, a police spokesperson said. He said that besides playing cards and three mobile phones, an amount of Rs 15300 were recovered from the spot.
The police spokesperson said that all the accused have been shifted to Police Station Parimpora.
“Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Parimpora and investigation has been initiated,” he added.
