Srinagar- An encounter broke out between militants and state forces in Marahama area of Sangam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday.
A senior police officer said that after militants attacked a party of army’s 03RR in Marahama, the fleeing militants were intercepted by the joint team of police and army nearby, triggering off an encounter, reported news agency GNS.
Till this reports was being filed, intermittent firing was going on.
