Srinagar- After suspending operation due to darkness yesterday, firing resumed on Tuesday morning at the encounter site in Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A senior Police officer said the forces resumed the operation at the first light today, reported news agency GNS.
Heavy exchange of firing is going on right now, the officer said.
Pertinently, yesterday six were killed including two CRPF troopers, a cop, an army solider and two local LeT militants in the gunfight.
Director General of police Dilbagh Singh yesterday during a press conference said that Top LeT Commander Sajad Haider from Sopore was among the slain militants. .
The encounter was still going on when last reports came in.
