Srinagar: Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti Monday termed the speculations about restoration of statehood to J&K by New Delhi after abrogation of 370 akin to amputating a person’s feet and then offering him shoes.
“GOI’s tactic of dangling statehood post scrapping of Article 370 is akin to amputating a person’s feet & offering him shoes. BJP due to electoral compulsions in Jammu has to grant statehood so they’re not doing people of J&K any favours,” Iltija, who tweets on behalf of her incarcerated mother wrote on her twitter handle.
