Srinagar: Government Forces Thursday conducted searches at Abi Guzar Bund of Srinagar city.
Sources said that in Abi Guzar area at around 5:00 pm, a special operations group (SOG), CRPF came in armored vehicles and laid a cordon.
Besides conducting searches, the pedestrians were also asked to produce the identity cards.
The searches were going on when the last reports came in.
Meanwhile, soldiers from 53 Rashtriya Rifles and 181 Battalion CRPF conducted searches in orchards at Tilsora village of Charar-e-Sharif.
Locals said that Combined Forces launched a cordon and search operation during the dead of the night in the village and brought the orchards under siege.
Police sources said during the search operation, nothing objectionable has been found so for. The searches were going on till the filing of this report.
