Srinagar- Ehsaas International, an NGO on Saturday organized a distribution cum awareness event that aimed to distribute education kits to students.
The NGO also raised awareness regarding precautions to be taken during the ongoing Covid pandemic. Ehsaas International in this event distributed hundred’s of Special Education Kits, which included class specific bags, stationery and other items to Students from Bandipora.
The district has been a key intervention area for Ehsaas, and the organization has worked on several projects in the area. One such project was establishment of coaching centers after 2019 lockdown which lasted till March 2020. 14 coaching centers in Sonawari belt, with more than 1400 students enrolled and benefitted in this project. The teachers of these coaching centers were being gifted footwear, sponsored by Adnan Shah CEO Fashion Fiesta who is the Philanthropic partner of Ehsaas International.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Bashir Ahmed, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sumbal, who addressed the students talking about the importance of education and how students can keep in touch with their studies in these hard times. Other dignitaries and officers from the district administration present at the event stressed on the need of studying and following safety protocols to all the attendees.
