Srinagar: The Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) on Saturday carried out a massive demolition drive in parts of city here.
According to a spokesperson, 5 illegal constructions, including 2 single storey and 2 double storey houses and two gate pillars raised illegally were demolished during a demolition drive in Habak Batapora, Teilbal, Braine, and Check Sadarbal areas of city.
“An illegal construction belonging to some influential persons was sealed in presence of Secretary LAWDA,” the spokesperson said.
A policeman was injured in Batapora, Teilbal when some miscreants hurled stones on the demolition squad.
