Srinagar: A man injured in a house collapse at the encounter site in Nawa Kadal area last week, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital here on Sunday, official said.
55-year-old Manzoor Ahmad Khan from Hawal Srinagar succumbed to his injuries at the SMHS hospital in Srinagar this morning, reports said.
Khan had suffered serious burn injuries after one of the several houses damaged in gunfight at Nawa Kadal collapsed. Four persons were injured in the incident and one of them, a teenager, died earlier.
Confirming the death, medical superintendent SMHS hospital Dr Nazir Choudhary said that the man was admitted to the hospital with severe burn injuries.
Two militants including Junaid Sehrai, son of Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat , were killed in the gunfight with police and CRPF. During the course of gunfight, several houses were damaged and one of them collapsed, leading to the injuries to at least four persons. (With GNS inputs)
