Pulwama: Over hundred people, defying lockdown curbs, offered funeral prayers in absentia for Asif Dar, the militant reportedly killed in Lower Munda encounter on Monday morning.
Reports said that at least 3 militants were killed in Lower Munda Kulgam encounter. Among them one is top militant commander Asif Majid Dar.
KNT news agency reported that over 100 people offered funeral prayers in absentia for the slain militant at his native village Dangar Mohalla Kakapora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The funeral prayers were offered after the culmination of Zuhar Prayers.
According to the report minor stone-pelting incident also occurred in Kakapora. Group of youth pelted stones at police. However, there was no retaliation from the police.
