BANDIPORA – Government Forces have arrested two employees of Jammu Kashmir Bank in connection with the recent Bandipora encounter.
Two militants were killed on November 11 after a gunfight erupted at Lawdara village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The slain militants were identified as Abu Talha of Pakistani origin and Qaisar Manzoor Bhat of Plan Bandipora.
Official sources told local news agency Kashmir News Trust that the investigation that started after the culmination of encounter raised fingers over two persons who happen to be the employees of Jammu Kashmir Bank.
“Both the employees have been arrested for questioning. One of them is a Branch Manager. Prima facie, it seems both were in touch with the slain militants. The investigation is going on and more details are expected to emerge,” said an official.
