SRINAGAR – Scores of School students staged a protest in press colony on Thursday, against the decision of the administration to give no relaxation in the syllabus for their upcoming exams.
The protesting students, were holding placards in their hands and were raising slogans against the administration for not giving any relaxation in the syllabus, for the period they missed their classes, due to restrictions and shutdown after the abrogation of Article 370 on 5th August 2019.
Some of the slogans written on the placards read “Students Victim of Politics” and “Governor unconcerned about the plight of Students”
The protesting students demanded 40% relaxation in their syllabus, saying that they could not cover it since schools were shut, transport was off the roads, internet was suspended and even private tutors were unavailable, how could they cover the syllabus.
They said that the administration is playing with their future by playing politics over the issue and are thus plunging their future into darkness.
They requested Governor Satya Pal Malik to have a humanitarian view and approach towards the matter and order a relation of 40% in the syllabus and save their future from getting ruined. (CNS)
