NEW DELHI – A high level meeting was held on Monday under the Chairmanship of Joint Secretary, Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) GoI, Rajveer Singh with the representatives of Jammu and Kashmir and North East States of Nagaland, Haryana, Tamilnadu, Assam Manipur and Tripura.
On the occasion, Joint Secretary MIDH stressed to work in mission mode so that funds are utilized in efficient manner for the development of J&K. He also directed abolition of MIED before October, 30, 2019.
In the meeting, it was given out that a high level team of officers from Ministry of Agriculture and Former Department of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmer Welfare would visit J&K in next week and review physical and financial progress for various schemes being implemented in J&K.
Mission Director J&K, Ajaz Ahmed Bhat requested extending time line for Prime Minister’s Development Programme (PMDP) for two years. He also requested for 80 crore residual activities for Saffron Mission, the Joint Secretary agreed for active consideration.
