SRINAGAR- Eleven shops were gutted in a mysterious fire in highway town of Magam on Friday night.
The fire erupted at 9.45 pm on Friday night and engulfed the local market within minutes.
A total number of eleven shops were destroyed in the fire, which includes some garment shops and a couple of grocery shops. The fire was so huge that its flames could be seen in many other areas of the district. The loss in the fire is estimated to be in crores.
The fire brigade had a tough time controling the fire from further spread; however eleven shops were raised to ground while some adjacent shops suffered a minor damage.
The cause of the fire could not be known. An FIR has been registered for the fire incident in Magam police station and Police and Fire Services were probing the cause of the fire.
