SRINAGAR – An Assistant Sub Inspector of JK Police Ghulam Mohi-u-Din, was seriously injured when an explosive substance blasted in his hand.
Police sources said that police officer was accompanying a prisoner, when the blast took place.
According to officials it was an accidental blast, in which the right arm of the said officer was badly injured. He was shifted to hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
There were conflicting reports about the blast, while police suggested that it was an accidental blast, others said that it was an explosive substance, which the officer was carrying in his hands when it blasted, injuring the officer seriously. (CNS)
