SRINAGAR Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar, on Tuesday interacted with scores of deputations and listened to their issues and problems during his weekly public hearing programme at Governors Grievance Cell, Church Lane, Sonawar here.
During the public hearing programme, over 37 deputations and 38 individuals met the Advisor and apprised him with their issues, grievances and sought his intervention for their early redressal.
A delegation of social workers and counsellors working at Drug de-addiction centre at PCR Srinagar requested for the formulation of a policy for their regularization.
A deputation of unemployed dental surgeons from Srinagar demanded creation of posts, while as a public delegation from Khiram in Anantnag requested for providing 33 KV line connection for the Lift Irrigation Scheme operational in the area.
Another public deputation from village Hall in Pulwama presented their demands including water facility, up-gradation of roads and inclusion of left out beneficiaries in Housing for All scheme.
Deputation of casual labourers working in Zangli Forest Range Kupwara demanded release of their pending wages. A deputation of locals from Old City Srinagar met the Advisor and asked for installation of lights in Rainawari playground, whereas a group of Anganwari workers also made their representation to the Advisor requesting redressal of their service-related issues.
All J&K Pharmacists Association while apprising the Advisor about their demands and issues requested for his intervention in clearing of long-pending DPC cases and mechanism to remove the stagnation of Pharmacists in Health Department.
A deputation headed by its Sarpanch from Tulail area in Bandipora district demanded staff and Ambulance at NTPC Gujran. Another public deputation from Pulwama requested for up-Gradation of Sub-Centre Drabgam to PHC, besides a deputation from Ganderbal demanded shifting of their block and creation of playground in the area.
Members of Retired Police Officers Association (Non-Gazetted) also met the Advisor and raised the issue of pay anomaly and related issues for early redressal.
Locals from Sirhama in Anantnag demanded doctors be made available during night hours at PHC Sirhama. A deputation of Home Guards Employees requested the Advisor to redress their projected issues. A deputation from Anantnag demanded up-gradation of Maternity and Children Hospital (Rehmat-e-Alam hospital), another deputation from Srinagar demanded widening of road by construction of steel bridge at Abi Nowpora, Alamdar Colony in Srinagar.
A deputation from Wakura in Ganderbal also requested for up-gradation of PHC to CHC or SDH, Tehsil Coordination Committee Hajin too demanded up-gradation of CHC Hajan Sonawari to SDH and requested to send a team of doctors from SKIMS to Hajan.
A deputation of aspirants of Fire & Emergency Department requested the Advisor for expediting the recruitment process, while as a deputation of Home Guards Employees also submitted their issues for their redressal.
A deputation of Civil Society Jammu & Kashmir presented many issues of public importance before the Advisor and requested for his intervention.
Besides, many other deputations and individuals attended the public hearing programme and apprised the Advisor about their demands and issues like clearance of SRO-43 cases, service-related issues, request for basic amenities, request for financial assistance and motorized scooters for specially-abled persons etc.
On the occasion, the Advisor gave a patient hearing to the deputations and individuals and said that all the genuine issues put forth during the public hearing will be looked into and redressed on priority.
