Tral: The government forces on Friday morning handed over the body of Ansar Gazwatul Hind (AGH) chief Zakir Musa to his family for last rites. Musa was killed in an encounter with government forces late last night in Tral area of Pulwama district.
The body of Musa was recovered early on Friday from the debris of the house which was blasted by troops during the encounter last night.
There was no confirmation from the police till late last night about the death of Musa in the gunfight that had started in Dadsara after a joint team of army and SOG had launched a cordon-and-search operation (CASO) in the village. According to police the encounter lasted for around 11 hours and was officially called off during wee hours on Friday.
Authorities have already imposed restrictions in entire South Kashmir on the movement of people, snapped mobile internet and suspended train service. All educational institutions across Kashmir have also been ordered shut for the day.
