SRINAGAR Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Khan on Monday constituted a committee to inquire into the allegations regarding irregularities in Municipal Committee Anantnag.
Complaints have been received in this office regarding large scale irregularities with regard to purchase/installation of ACs/purchase of various items for office use in Municipal Committee Anantnag, reads an order by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, adding that the alleged irregularities have reportedly inflicted heavy financial loss to the state exchequer.
Considering the gravity of the complaint it has become imperative to get the matter enquired into by a committee of officers, the order reads further.
Now, therefore, a committee of the officers comprising Additional District Development Commissioner Anantnag, District Treasury officer Anantnag and Executive Engineer PDD Anantnag is hereby constituted to enquire into the allegations and furnish the report along with specific findings/recommendations within 15 days, the order further reads.
